Remains Found in Bradford Co. Identified

Medical Examiner ID's Body as Pamela K. Hall

The Medical Examiner’s office in Gainesville, FL. positively identified the remains found at the Mt. Sinai Cemetery earlier this week.  The case was originally listed as a missing person on November 3, 2003, but is now being investigated as a Homicide.

The victim’s name is Pamela Hall and she was last seen on July 2, 2003 but not reported as missing until November of that year.  At the time of her disappearance she was wanted on several worthless check warrants and known to abuse drugs.  For the last several years rumors had surfaced about her being a victim of a Homicide, but there was no evidence to prove these rumors to be true.

After being elected, Sheriff Gordon Smith renewed efforts to investigate all three cold cases currently active with the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office.  He also coordinated with Starke Police Chief Jeffrey Johnson and Union County Sheriff Jerry Whitehead to develop the Bradford Union Starke Task Force to Eradicate Drugs (BUSTED).  These two actions brought about new leads in this case which resulted in the discovery of the victim’s remains.

At this time, a person of interest in this case is being held at the Bradford County Jail on unrelated charges.  Efforts are being made in conjunction with the State Attorney’s Office to conclude the investigation and bring any parties involved in this case to justice.
