Person of Interest in Thompson Case Pleads Not Guilty to Porn charges

The man named as the person of interest in the disappearance and murder of Somer Thompson pleaded not guilty this morning to 55 counts of child pornography in an unrelated case, according to the Florida Times Union.

Jarred Harrell is also charged with two counts of molesting a girl between the ages of 3 and 5. He pleaded not guilty to those charges as well, the paper reported on its Web site.

Harrell is named a person of interest in the Oct. 19 disappearance of Thompson, a 7-year-old girl near Jacksonville.

Harrell was arrested Feb. 11 in Meridian, Miss., and extradited to Florida on charges of possession of child porn.
