Marion County Sheriff's detectives have arrested a North Marion Middle School basketball coach accused of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old student.
44-year-old Robert E. Bennett Jr.of Ocala, was charged with sexual battery by a person with custodial authority.
Bennett is a basketball coach at North Marion Middle and founded the Ocala Blaze Basketball Developmental Program, where he also coaches.
According to an arrest affidavit, a parent found a note her 13-year-old daughter had written that described sexual acts with Bennett.
