Ride to Provide for the Levy ARC
The third annual 'Ride to Provide' will be held September 6, 2008 beginning at Williston High School. Registration starts at 7:30AM with free coffee and doughnuts. The ride begins at 10AM and is an 88-mile ride through scenic Levy County with a comfort stop halfway. The ride is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Levy Association for Retarded Citizens. Alachua County Crisis Center - Volunteers Needed
The Alachua County Crisis Center, a non-profit organization, is seeking volunteers to become Crisis Line Counselors. Sixty hours of in-depth training are provided. This is an opportunity to impact the lives of fellow community members and to gain life-enhancing communication skills. The next training class begins Saturday, September 13th, 2008. Ocala Asthma Walk
The American Lung Association will be hosting the 2008 Asthma Walk in Ocala on October 18, 2008 at Tuscawilla Park, 829 Northeast Sanchez Avenue in Ocala.
