(LOS ANGELES) -- Two men charged in a brutal attack outside Dodgers Stadium in 2011 pleaded guilty on Thursday.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office says that Louie Sanchez, 31, and Marvin Norwood, 33, agreed to plead guilty to beating San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow after the March 31, 2011, game between the Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Sanchez knocked Stow unconscious, without provocation, after the game, causing Stow to suffer severe brain trauma.
Stow, a paramedic, now requires long-term care as a result of the attack.
Sanchez pleaded guilty to one count of mayhem and will serve eight years in state prison, while Norwood pleaded guilty to assault and will spend four years in jail.
