Father and Son Die in Cave Dive

WEEKIE WACHEE (by Larry Spilman/FLA. NEWS NETWORK) -- The bodies of a father and son who went cave diving Christmas Day in Hernando County have been recovered from an underwater cave.
35 year old Darrin Spivey was found at 127 feet.  His son, 15 year old Dillon Sanchez, was located at 67 feet.
Eagle Nest Sink near Weeki Wachee is known as the "Grand Canyon" of cave diving, but is notoriously dangerous.
The father was a certified diver-- but not certified to dive in caves. The son wasn't certified for any diving.
The pair was testing out some diving equipment they had received for Christmas.
